Job summary

Asda Stores Ltd in South Shields is looking for a Part-time Pharmacy Colleague to support our in-store pharmacy team. You will assist with prescription processing, customer service and promoting extra services like Prescription Collection and Medicines Use Reviews.

You'll complete an accredited course to become a Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months and progress toward Dispensing Assistant. Weekend work is required in a busy 24/7 store environment.

Qualifications

• Pass an enhanced safeguarding check.
• Stores operate 24/7 with varied shifts.
• Weekend work is a requirement of the role.
• Willing to complete accredited training to become Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and process prescriptions accurately.
• Assist Pharmacist and support patient services (BP checks, stop smoking schemes, etc).
• Drive awareness of extra pharmacy services (Prescription Collection, Medicines Use Reviews).
• Collect prescriptions from doctors' surgeries for in-store collection.
