Job summary

Asda in Portlethen is hiring a Pharmacy Colleague on a permanent part-time basis (20 hours per week). You will a be part of the in-store pharmacy team, handling prescriptions, assisting customers and developing your pharmacy training toward qualification as a Medicine Counter Assistant and then a Dispensing Assistant.

The role requires weekend work, a safeguarding check, and a friendly, customer-focused approach to healthcare guidance.

Qualifications

• Must pass enhanced safeguarding check.
• Weekend working is a requirement of the role.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and process prescriptions accurately.
• Drive awareness of pharmacy services (e.g., Prescription Collection Service, Medicines Use Reviews).
• Support the Pharmacist with patient services (blood pressure checks, stop smoking schemes).
• Collect prescriptions from doctor surgeries and bring to the store.
• Complete accredited course within 6 months to become Medicine Counter Assistant, then train as Dispensing Assistant.
