Job summary

Skills4Group is seeking a friendly Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team in Workington. You will support day‑to‑day operations, help customers at the counter and work with the pharmacy team to ensure safe, efficient service while training towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

You will gain hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment, with blended learning and full training provided. Start date is 28 October 2026 and deadline 23 October 2026.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English desired but not essential.
• Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 apprenticeship training provided.
• No prior pharmacy experience required; full training provided.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

Training to be Provided

Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Future Prospects

This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.

About the role

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.

Key duties
