Skills4Group in London is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. You will support customers at the counter and assist with prescriptions, stock control and maintaining records under supervision.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn in a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

  • GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English preferred.
  • If Maths/English Level 2 is missing, tests may determine suitability.

Brief Description

SW9 8DJ We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.


Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.


For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.


Training to be Provided

Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.


Future Prospects

This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.

About the role

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.


You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.


Key duties include


  • Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries

  • Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)

  • Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records

  • Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales

  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality

  • Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service

Apprenticeship details

  • Training delivered alongside your job through blended learning

  • Apprentices must be able to commit to contracted working hours and guided learning hours
