Job summary

Skills4Pharmacy in Workington is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship while working full time and gaining hands-on experience in customer service, dispensary tasks and public health services.

You will learn under supervision, with full training and support provided, developing communication skills and experience in stock management, cashier duties and safe working practices.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
• No previous pharmacy experience required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Help with preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision.

This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.

About the role

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.
