Job summary

Skills4Pharmacy is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team in Keighley. You will support day‑to‑day pharmacy operations, assist customers, and learn through a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship with full training and support provided.

You will work under supervision to process prescriptions, manage stock, and deliver high standards of customer service in a healthcare setting. This role offers paid training and a recognised apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Basic IT skills and reliability are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries.
• Assist with the preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision.
• Handle stock, deliveries and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

Training to be Provided

Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Future Prospects

This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.

About the role

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.

Key duties include:

• Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
• Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
• Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service
