Job summary

Skills 4 Pharmacy is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to support day‑to‑day pharmacy operations and help customers while training for a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship.

You will receive full training and guidance, with no prior pharmacy experience required. The role involves stock management, processing prescriptions under supervision, and using pharmacy systems in a fast-paced, customer‑facing environment.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 Maths and English desired but not essential as training may be provided.
• Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications may be required; tests to determine suitability for the course.
• Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 apprenticeship will be delivered alongside the role.

Job description

About the role

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.

Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries

Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)

Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records

Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality

Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service
