Job summary

I & F Limited (T/A Skills4Group) is hiring a friendly Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. You will earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience and working toward a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship.

You’ll complete training alongside your role, with full support provided. Duties include counter service, stock handling, and helping deliver public health services.

Qualifications

• GCSEs A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English are desirable but not essential if provided via the course.
• No previous pharmacy experience is required; full training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries.
• Help with preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision.
• Handle stock, deliveries and maintain accurate records.
• Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health and safety and confidentiality.
• Work as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service.

Working Week: 33 hours within opening hours of pharmacy split over 4.5 days

Brief Description

CM1 2DW We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

Training to be Provided

Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Future Prospects

This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification. A permanent job is available for the right candidate after the 12 months apprenticeship and to grow within the team.

About the role

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.
