Job summary

Skills4 Pharmacy in Essex is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship while supporting day-to-day pharmacy operations and customer service.

You will learn through blended training, commit to 33 hours per week across 4.5 days, and gain hands-on experience handling prescriptions, stock and patient interactions.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided.
• Enrolment in Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship with blended learning.
• Basic IT and patient-facing skills required.

Responsibilities

• Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries.
• Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision.
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records.
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales.

Future Prospects

This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification. A permanent job is available for the right candidate after the 12 months apprenticeship and to grow within the team.
