Job summary

Skills4 Pharmacy in Reading, Berkshire is recruiting a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to support daily pharmacy operations and learn on the job. You will undertake a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship with full training and guidance throughout the 15-month programme.

Key duties include assisting customers, helping with prescriptions, stock handling, and using pharmacy systems to process sales while upholding safety and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English desired but not essential
• No previous pharmacy experience required – full training provided
• You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries
• Assist with preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision
• Handle stock, deliveries and maintain accurate records
• Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health & safety, and confidentiality
• Work as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service
