The role involves collaborating with Primary Care Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, GPs, and other health and social care professionals to improve medicines management and patient care. The position supports the Pharmacotherapy service under the GMS contract and plays a vital role in assisting patients with their medications.
NHS Borders pharmacy teams are known for innovative practices and for expanding the roles of pharmacy staff. The team prioritizes training, education, and personal development, offering opportunities for further growth as the service evolves.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and IT skills, with the ability to influence change. Candidates must have relevant pharmacy experience and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician.
The position is based at the Pharmacy Hub in Newtown St Boswells, with working hours from Monday to Friday, totaling over 37 hours per week.
