An opportunity has arisen in the Pharmacotherapy Team within NHS Borders for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Pharmacy Technician. This role provides an opportunity to support the delivery of the primary care clinical pharmacy service. You will join an established pharmacy team responsible for delivering medicines management and pharmacy input to a range of primary care settings.
The role involves working with Primary Care Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians, GPs, other Health and Social Care Professionals, and staff to improve medicines management and deliver excellent patient care. This role will involve the delivery of the Pharmacotherapy service as part of the GMS contract and provides an important function in supporting patients with their medicines.
NHS Borders pharmacy teams are renowned for implementing new and innovative ways of working and for continually developing the roles and responsibilities of pharmacy staff. Training, education, and personal development are priorities for the team, with opportunities for further training and education as the service and role evolve.
The successful candidate must have excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and IT skills, along with the ability to influence and effect change. You must have relevant pharmacy experience and be a qualified Pharmacy Technician registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
This job opportunity will be based in the Pharmacy Hub at Newtown St Boswells, with working hours from Monday to Friday over 37 hours.
