A community pharmacy in Scotland is seeking an experienced Pharmacist Manager to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care and lead a supportive team. The ideal candidate will have an MPharm degree and be passionate about empowering staff within a positive work environment. Responsibilities include ensuring patient access to medicines, managing staff training, and maintaining high clinical governance standards. The role offers a competitive salary and benefits like a company pension, retail discounts, and opportunities for professional development.
M & D Green Pharmacy is recruiting a Pharmacist Manager to join its independent community pharmacy in Oban, offering a flexible role within a well established Scottish pharmacy group.
This position suits a qualified pharmacist with a positive attitude who is ready to take on a leadership role, managing a supportive team while delivering high quality pharmaceutical care to the local community.
As Pharmacist Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring patients have easy access to medicines, advice, and pharmacy services, acting as a trusted healthcare professional within the community. You will lead, motivate, train, and develop pharmacy support staff, creating a positive and professional working environment.
You will build strong working relationships with GP surgeries and Primary Care Networks, ensure NHS claims are accurate, and maintain high standards of clinical governance in line with GPhC guidelines. The role combines hands on patient care with leadership, organisation, and responsibility for service delivery.
You must hold an MPharm degree or equivalent and be a registered member of the General Pharmaceutical Council. A passion for leading and empowering a team is essential, along with strong organisational skills and a self motivated approach to work.
Previous management experience is beneficial but not essential for the right candidate.
M & D Green offers a competitive salary, paid GPhC membership fees, and opportunities for further professional development. Benefits include a company pension, company car, retail discounts, and a relocation incentive where applicable.
You will be joining a pharmacy group that invests in its premises, staff training, and the continued development of community pharmacy as the first point of contact for health care.
This role is being recruited directly by M & D Green Pharmacy.
