Job summary

CVS Vets is seeking a friendly and organized Veterinary Receptionist for a 12‑month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. The role is part‑time at our Brigg practice, with Tuesday and Friday shifts and a 1:5 Saturday rota.

You will manage calls, book appointments, greet clients and handle payments in a busy veterinary front desk environment. Ideal candidates will have reception or frontline service experience, and demonstrate empathy, strong communication, and comfort with computer

Qualifications

• Experience as a receptionist or client‑facing role in a busy environment.
• Strong communication and empathy when dealing with clients.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming calls and schedule appointments efficiently.
• Respond to queries by phone, email, and in person with professionalism.
• Greet and register new clients, ensuring a warm welcome.
• Process insurance forms and manage payments.
• Distribute medications as required and handle financial transactions.
• Liaise with veterinary practices to address patient needs.
