Job summary

Vets for Pets is seeking a friendly, compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our front‑of‑house team on a part‑time maternity cover. This is an in‑person role at our busy veterinary practice, offering the chance to work closely with clients and their pets.

The successful candidate will greet clients, manage appointments, handle calls and emails, process payments, and support the veterinary team with administration, providing reassurance and empathy during every visit.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Caring, confident and empathetic.
• Enjoys working as part of a team.
• Organised and able to multitask in a busy environment.
• Good administration and computer skills.
• Previous reception or customer service experience is desirable; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Greeting clients and their pets with a friendly and professional approach.

• Processing payments and maintaining accurate client records.
