Job summary

DWR Veterinary Specialists is seeking a Client Care Assistant to join our front-of-house reception team in the Cambridgeshire area. The role supports both clients and patients, ensuring a high standard of care and smooth daily operations in a fast-paced hospital environment.

You will greet clients and their pets, coordinate appointments with vets and nurses, manage accounts and payments, and maintain accurate clinical records using our practice management system.

Responsibilities

• Greeting clients and their pets upon arrival in a warm and friendly manner.
• Communicating directly with our vets and nurses regarding their appointments, clients and patients.
• Explanation to our clients of the status of their accounts, taking payments and issuing invoices.
• Checking accounts before discharge to ensure that they are up to date and correct.
• Arrangement of routine and emergency appointments from our referring vets in primary care practice.
• Fielding of phone and electronic enquiries from clients, referring vets and colleagues.
• Checking accounts daily to ensure they have been correctly priced, are up to date and correct, checking ward costs have been added and are correct.
• Maintenance of patient clinical records using our practice management software system.
