Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Limited in West London is seeking a Personal Care Student Support Specialist to assist learners with SEND, providing both educational and personal care support to help them access their education and develop independence.

You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to implement individual learning and care plans, promote wellbeing, and uphold safeguarding procedures while building positive relationships with learners and families.

Qualifications

• A caring, patient, and empathetic approach.
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND and personal care needs is desirable.
• Ability to build positive relationships with learners, families, and colleagues.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting learner welfare.
• Relevant qualifications in education, care, health, or support work are beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to learners with SEND.
• Assist learners with personal care needs, including toileting, changing, feeding, and mobility support where required.
• Support learners in the classroom, during breaks, and on educational visits.
• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing at all times.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver individual learning and care plans.
• Assist with behaviour support strategies and emotional regulation where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures.
