Job summary

Morgan Hunt is recruiting a Complex Needs Student Support Specialist in London to help learners with SEND, including PMLD and autism. You will provide educational, personal care and healthcare support to enable safe access to education and help learners reach personal goals.

The role involves one-to-one and small group support, assisting with mobility, medical interventions, and daily living activities. A DBS check and safeguarding commitment are required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young adults with SEND and complex needs.
• Proven experience delivering personal care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience administering medication.
• Experience PEG feeding and complex medical needs.
• Training in moving and handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to learners with complex SEND needs.
• Support learners to access educational, vocational, sensory, and life-skills activities.
• Deliver personal care, including toileting, changing, feeding, dressing and hygiene support.
• Administer medication in line with healthcare plans.
• Support learners requiring PEG feeding and other medical interventions.
• Maintain records on learner support, medication and care requirements.
