Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Limited is seeking a Learning Support Assistant (Personal Care) to support students with additional learning needs in East London. This temporary, ongoing role focuses on promoting independence, inclusion, and positive educational outcomes within a further education setting.

You will work with lecturers, SEND professionals, and support teams to deliver tailored support, including personal care responsibilities, to help students access curriculum and participate in college

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with SEND, disabilities, and complex care needs.
• Ability to provide personal care including toileting, feeding, PEG feeding, and mobility support.
• Experience in educational, care, or community settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality academic, physical, and communication support to students with a range of needs.
• Support students to access the curriculum and participate in lessons, visits, and college events.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and SEND professionals to deliver tailored support plans and interventions.
• Assist with personal care requirements maintaining dignity and respect at all times (toileting, feeding, PEG feeding, mobility).
• Support students one-to-one and in small groups to promote engagement and achievement.
• Contribute to planning and delivery of learning activities to remove barriers to learning.
• Monitor progress and maintain records in line with college procedures.
• Attend review meetings and contribute to target setting, progress reviews, and reports.
• Promote wellbeing, safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion.
• Collaborate with lecturers, SENCOs, therapists, and support teams to ensure high standards of support.
