Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Limited is recruiting a Learning Support Specialist to support learners with complex needs in East London. You will work closely with individuals with a range of physical, medical, learning, and communication needs, providing tailored support to help them thrive inside and outside the classroom.

Role involves personal care, peg feeding when required, medication administration, and mobility support.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners with SEND and complex needs.
• Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references required.
• Patient, proactive and caring approach with learners.

Responsibilities

• Support learners on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
• Provide personal care with dignity and respect.
• Assist with mobility needs and use of hoists, wheelchairs and standing aids.
• Administer medication according to individual healthcare plans.
• Carry out PEG feeding safely where required.
• Encourage independence and active participation in learning.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, healthcare professionals and families.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to learner reviews and support plans.
• Promote a safe, inclusive learning environment.
