Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Limited is seeking a SEND Support Practitioner to work in West London with learners who have PMLD and complex needs. The role requires safeguarding, personal care, medication administration, PEG feeding, and strong collaboration with teachers and healthcare teams.

You will deliver learner-centred support, promote independence, monitor wellbeing, and maintain accurate records while upholding dignity and respect for all students.

Qualifications

• Significant experience supporting learners with SEND, PMLD, and complex needs.
• Trained in Personal Care, Moving and Handling, Hoist Operation, Medication Administration, PEG Feeding, and Safeguarding.
• Strong learner-centred practice and inclusive education understanding.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist support to learners with PMLD and complex SEND needs.
• Deliver high-quality personal care while maintaining dignity, privacy, and respect.
• Administer prescribed medication in line with healthcare plans and procedures.
• Support learners requiring PEG feeding and other specialist healthcare interventions.
• Undertake manual handling tasks using hoists and equipment as needed.
• Support learners with communication needs using Makaton, PECS, AAC, or Intensive Interaction approaches.
• Assist learners in accessing educational, sensory, therapeutic, and life-skills activities.
• Monitor wellbeing and report concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate care, medication, and learner progress records.
• Promote independence, inclusion, and positive outcomes for all learners.
