Encompassborders is seeking a Personal Assistant to support a client in Galashiels on Saturdays and Sundays. Two visits per day: late morning for cream application and breakfast support, and teatime around 6.00pm for cream and evening meal support. Flexible times to suit both parties and to promote independence.

£13.85 per hour with 5.6 weeks of annual leave pro rata. PVG and references required. Experience in care and a reliable, friendly approach are essential.

Responsibilities

Wash my back and reapply cream.
Assist in wearing clean clothes.
Support with breakfast and tidy up.
Prompt and supervise me to take medication at each visit.
Support with main meal and tidy up afterwards.
Wash area at teatime and reapply cream/pain relief gel.

Job description

I’m a gentleman with some physical difficulties who lives Galashiels. I’m looking for a PA to join my small team. I’m looking for Saturday & Sunday for 2 visits per day; first visit is late morning to apply cream/support with breakfast/prompt medication and second is at teatime to apply cream/ support with evening meal/meds. This would suit experienced PAs who can support and encourage independence.
