Job summary

Personal Assistants Network Scotland in Glasgow is seeking a female Personal Assistant to support a wheelchair user in Giffnock. The role is for weekend dayshifts on a four-week rota, with possible extra shifts during annual leave. Duties include moving and transferring, personal care, daily living tasks, and helping the client live independently.

Driving is preferred and you should live within an easy commute of Giffnock. Pay is £14.50 per hour for dayshifts and £18.00 for nightshifts.

I'm looking to employ a female Personal Assistant for personal care and support. This is a new post, specifically for weekend dayshifts as part of my four-weekly rota, so weekend availability is essential. I may also have some additional shifts available in the coming months, mainly to cover annual leave.

Briefly, I am an independently minded and chatty woman. I'm quite informal and love food and socialising. I live with progressive physical disabilities, and I am a wheelchair user.

Main Duties Would Include

• Assisting with moving and transferring to and from bed to wheelchair and wheelchair to car.
• Personal care. Due to the nature of personal care, I require a female PA.
• Assistance with carrying out daily living chores.
• Supporting me to live an independent life.

Candidates should be experienced (work or personal experience). Ideally, you should be a driver and willing to drive my car.

You must live within an easy commute of Giffnock.

You will be employed as part of an established and lovely PA Team.

Pay: £14.50 per hour for dayshifts and £18.00 per hour for nightshifts. Statutory holiday pay will apply to employed PAs, and you may be eligible to join a pension scheme. Self-employed PAs are also welcome to apply, with rates to be discussed and agreed in advance.
