Job summary

Sanderson Recruitment Plc is working with a leading ICT services provider to recruit a Site Based Engineer for roles across the UK. The position is based in Ashby, LE65, with a permanent contract and a salary of £27,000–£28,000 depending on experience.

You will provide maintenance and on-site support, ensuring adherence to technical standards and high customer satisfaction. A full UK driving licence and Baseline Check are required, along with strong IT systems knowledge.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance and site-based support.
• Complete tasks to company standards and procedures.
• Deliver exceptional customer service on-site.
• Attend incidents/requests as directed by the Customer Incident Centre.
• Remain customer-focused and professional at all times.
• Monitor, update and progress incidents promptly.
• Coordinate between clients and vendors to resolve problems within timescales.
• Resolve hardware issues and basic software problems.

Sanderson is working in partnership with a leading global provider of ICT Services for the large enterprise and public sector markets. We have opportunity for Site Based Engineers based across the UK. This role is based in Ashby.

Role - Site Based Engineer
Permanent
Location - Ashby, LE65
Salary - £27000 - £28000 in between based upon the experience

Roles and Responsibilities:

• You will provide maintenance and site based support.
• You will be responsible for all tasks to completed in line with company technical and quality standards and procedures.
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service skills when on-site, and ensuring a high degree of customer satisfaction is always provided.
• Attendance to all incidents/requests as directed by the Customer Incident Centre is required as per your engineering work instruction guidelines.
• Ability to be customer focused, and courteous in a professional and sensible manner.
• Ensure assigned incidents are monitored, updated, and progressed in a timely manner.
• Coordination between clients and vendors is crucial, and you must ensure resolutions to problems are managed within timescales and appropriately.
• Knowledge and ability to resolve hardware issues and basic software problems.

What we expect from you:

• A full UK driving license and access to a car.
• Will undergo a Baseline Personnel Security Standard check.
• Strong understanding of IT systems and environments
• Strong customer service skills, with an analytical and problem-solving mindset

Qualifications in the following would be beneficial to your application:

Dell/Other vendor certification to enterprise level or above
Previous experience in a data centre and/or smart space technology is advantageous.
MSCE certification
Manufacturer Enterprise server certification
SAN Server
CompTIA A+
Network+/CCNA
