Job summary

Driver Hire Manchester are recruiting permanent Cat C (class 2) and Cat C+E (class 1) HGV drivers to work for our customers across BN postcodes, with immediate start available.

You'll deliver and collect goods, perform vehicle checks, load/unload, and keep accurate paperwork. Guaranteed hours: 40 hours minimum per week, with weekends and overtime available. Immediate start for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• Full valid Cat C (class 2) or Cat C+E (class 1) licence.
• Minimum of 12 months’ proven experience driving HGVs.
• Strong safety-first mindset and a professional demeanour.
• Reliable, punctual and a good team player.
• Own transport or ability to get to shifts for early starts.
• No DR10 endorsements on driving record.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating HGVs for multi-drop deliveries and collections.
• Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting defects.
• Assisting with loading and unloading goods and securing items.
• Maintaining accurate delivery paperwork.

The Role:

• You will be a crucial part of logistics operations; safely operating HGV vehicles for multi-drop deliveries and/or collections.
• Performing vehicle checks and ensuring all defects are reported.
• Assisting with loading and unloading goods, ensuring all items are secure for transit.
• Maintaining accurate delivery paperwork.
