Job summary

Awi Civitas in Cambridge is seeking reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for ongoing logistics and trunking operations, with easy access via the A14 and M11 corridors. This role offers competitive hourly rates, predictable schedules, and steady long-term opportunities with temp-to-perm prospects for dedicated drivers.

Hours are 45–50 per week with variable shifts; immediate starts are available for qualified drivers and there are long-term opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence with CPC and Tachograph card.
• 1 year Class 1 driving experience preferred (max 6 points).
• High safety standards, punctual deliveries and vehicle care.
• Clear customer-facing communication for drop-offs and depot checks.

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient driving across local, regional, and national routes.
• Conducting essential daily vehicle defect checks and handling delivery paperwork accurately.
• Securing loads safely and adhering to tachograph and hours regulations.
• Supportive with depot check-ins and customer handovers.

We are seeking reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Drivers for ongoing logistics and trunking operations based in Cambridge. Key Details & Responsibilities:

• Hours: 45 – 50 hours per week (Variable shift patterns available)

• Securing loads safely and adhering strictly to EU Drivers' Hours and Tachograph regulations

Requirements

• Licence & Cards: Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence, CPC qualification card, and Digital Tachograph card
  

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of Class 1 driving experience preferred (no major endorsements, maximum 6 points)
  

• Professional Attitude: High attention to safety, route planning, punctuality, and vehicle care
  

• Communication: Clear customer service skills for drop-offs and depot check-ins
