Permanent Clinical Director Veterinary Surgeon - Scottish Borders
Type: Mixed Animal Practice (20% Farm, 25% Equine, 55% Companion Animal)
Location: Scottish Borders - situated close to the border with Northumberland
Practice Type: Group Practice
Facilities: Well equipped with BCF scanners, small and equine ultrasound, digital x-ray (small and equine), endoscopy, and dental x-ray.
Role: A rare opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Director to lead this dedicated team through their next chapter. The successful candidate will be the line manager for an experienced Senior Leadership Team including the Equine Clinical Director, Practice Manager, Lead Vet, and Clinical Nursing Manager.
Duties: The role focuses on the clinical and commercial development and success of the practice, supported by a Primary Care Director and central support functions. While experience in mixed practice is preferred, this role is ideal for candidates with a bias towards Companion Animal Practice. The candidate should be a strong leader, passionate about empowering teams through excellent organisation, communication, and team development.
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, typically a 4-day week. The role includes clinical and non-clinical time and involves approximately 1 night and weekend out-of-hours work in 5, with time in lieu provided.
Salary: Up to £80,000 per annum depending on experience
