University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a Perioperative Administrative Team Lead to coordinate the pre-operative journey and support the perioperative medicine team with multi-disciplinary coordination.

The role will line manage perioperative care administrators, schedule around 10,000 patient journeys and 30,000 outpatient appointments, and develop the team in a busy, teaching hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in administration in a customer-focused environment.
• Experience delivering training sessions.
• Supervisory or office management experience.
• Competent in the use of ESR and Healthroster.

Responsabilités

• Support the operational and administrative needs of the service, including booking and outgoing appointments, scanning, telephone calls and training new starters.
• Line manage several perioperative care administrators and conduct appraisals and sickness reviews.
• Act as first point of escalation to administrative staff and support with complaints.
• Be proactive with leadership and stakeholder engagement, using Microsoft Office confidently.
