NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking a Mental Health Support Worker for the Perinatal Community Team. The role involves visiting patients at home across NHSGGC, providing emotional support and assisting with daily activities, with training offered for venepuncture.

The post is full-time (36 hours) with a Mon-Fri 9am-5pm pattern. Driving is essential; permanent contract based at Leverndale Hospital, with opportunities for professional development.

Formación

• Previous experience in a caring environment/role, preferably in a health care setting, particularly mental health.
• Ability to work with people and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Physical health assessment including venepuncture (training can be offered).
• Ability to work unsupervised and follow written/verbal requests.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct physical health assessments and venepuncture when trained.
• Assist patients with daily activities and provide emotional support.
• Help patients follow treatment plans and monitor changes in health.”
• Support during therapeutic activities and encourage participation in activities.
• Promote social interaction and community involvement and report concerns to the clinical team.
