Job summary

GXO Logistics in West Hallam, UK, is seeking an experienced HR Manager to shape the people strategy, partner with senior leaders, and drive engagement in a fast-paced environment. You will influence change and deliver practical HR solutions that support operational success.

You will lead employee relations, coaching, talent management, and analytics to support business objectives and future leadership pipelines while fostering a productive, inclusive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 qualified with proven experience in a similar HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor role within a fast-paced working environment.
• Strong employment law knowledge with a practical and commercially focused approach to HR.
• Demonstrated experience of driving change management, cultural development, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Excellent communication, coaching, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities, with the confidence to challenge and influence when required.

Responsibilities

• Partnering with site leadership teams to develop and deliver the people strategy, driving engagement, performance, and organisational effectiveness.
• Providing expert advice and guidance on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance management cases.
• Building leadership capability through coaching, training, and ongoing support to managers across all HR-related activities.
• Driving talent management, succession planning, learning and development initiatives, and supporting future leadership pipelines.
• Analysing HR metrics and management information, using data-driven insights to support business decisions and continuous improvement.
