Job summary

GXO Logistics in Manchester is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the site HR function and drive people strategies across the team.

You will advise on ER cases, support managers with HR processes, oversee payroll on site, and ensure compliance with GXO policies and statutory requirements while managing HR KPI performance.

The role requires CIPD Level 5 qualification, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic logistics environment.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 qualification required.
• Experience handling ER caseloads in a union environment.
• Strong communication across all levels and stakeholders.
• High attention to detail with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Experience in transport or logistics is desirable.
• Solid knowledge of employment law.

Responsibilities

• Lead on all HR matters for the site.
• Coach and develop managers on HR processes and policies.
• Manage on-site HR KPI data including absence and headcount.
• Lead and develop the onsite people agenda.
• Implement efficient HR processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide advice and guidance on HR matters on site.
• Co-ordinate union relations and ER caseloads.
