Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc is recruiting an experienced HR Manager for our M&S, Fashion, Home & Beauty site in Bradford. You will report to the Senior HR Business Partner and lead the HR and Payroll functions, shaping the site’s People Plan and driving culture, compliance and performance.

You will balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, managing complex ER matters, TU relations, and high-performing teams while partnering with leadership to support growth and change across the operation.

Qualifications

• Proven HR leadership experience within a fast-paced operational environment.
• Strong employment law knowledge with experience managing complex ER issues.
• Ability to lead and develop high-performing teams while influencing stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead the HR and Payroll functions, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and delivery of the site's People Plan.
• Partner with operational leaders to drive employee engagement, organisational effectiveness, talent development, and succession planning.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with Trade Union representatives, leading on employee relations matters and complex case management.
• Analyse people metrics, including absence, turnover, headcount, and performance data, providing insight to support business decisions and KPI delivery.
• Lead, coach, and develop the HR, Payroll, Communications, and Training & Learning teams to ensure exceptional service and continuous improvement.
