Job summary

University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a People Services Assistant (NHS AfC: Band 4) to support the People Business Partner and Advisor team across employee relations matters. The role contributes to a high-quality, employee-centric People function and includes minute taking where appropriate.

The post offers hybrid working from Lancaster, with 37.5 hours per week and a salary band of £28,392–£31,157 per annum.

Qualifications

• NVQ III Customer Service / Business Administration or equivalent experience
• GCSE grade C or above in English Language (or equivalent)
• Knowledge of HR procedures (including Recruitment and Selection, Grievance and Discipline, absence management)
• Relevant previous experience of electronic database systems
• European Computer Driving Licence qualification or equivalent
• Certificate in Personnel Practice (CPP), or equivalent qualification or experience

Responsibilities

• Provide professional support and advice to Managers and staff across a range of employee relations matters.
• To support the delivery of ‘a great place to be cared for; a great place to work’ through effective engagement in a responsive, high quality and employee-centric People function.
• To ensure that all employee related issues are comprehensively and effectively addressed through proactive, employee centric and best practice advice and delivery.
• To provide professional support and advice to managers and colleagues in the organisation across the range of employee relations matters.
• To assist in the full range of People activities, including minute taking where appropriate.
