Job summary

University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust is seeking a People Performance & Governance Officer to provide administrative, coordination and governance support to the People Performance, Governance & Place team. The postholder will manage their workload with minimal supervision and coordinate project activities.

The role contributes to the efficient running of people‑related governance frameworks and the delivery of Trust‑wide people performance priorities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
• Experience providing administrative support in a busy environment.
• Experience communicating with staff at all levels.
• Training in project support, governance, data handling or business administration.
• Previous work in HR, governance or project support.
• Knowledge of project methodology (e.g., basic QI, project tracking tools).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive administrative support to the People Performance & Governance function, managing workload independently.
• Coordinate meetings including agenda preparation, circulation of papers, room/virtual booking & accurate minute‑taking.
• Maintain & update project documentation including action logs, trackers, risk logs and governance folders.
• Monitor progress against key milestones & alert relevant staff to delays or issues.
• Support improvement projects by gathering information, preparing summaries & assisting with implementation tasks.
• Data, Reporting & Information Management: Collate, analyse & present data relating to people performance, projects and governance.
