Job summary

Northern Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced People Partner to join its busy People & Culture team in the UK. You will manage a varied employee relations caseload and provide practical, commercially focused HR advice to managers.

The role requires strong ER experience, a CIPD qualification, and solid knowledge of UK employment legislation. You will work hybrid, supporting managers and contributing to policy development.

Qualifications

• Experience as People Partner / HR Business Partner or similar.
• CIPD qualification or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Proven experience managing complex employee relations cases from start to finish.
• Confident advising and influencing managers at different levels.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a busy caseload.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied employee relations caseload including disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence, performance management and investigations.
• Provide practical, legally sound advice on legislation, policies and procedures to managers.
• Support formal employee relations meetings, including preparing documentation and outcome letters.
• Advise on organisational change, restructures and TUPE processes where required.
• Build strong relationships with managers and stakeholders to resolve people matters.
• Coach and support managers to build confidence in handling ER issues.
• Maintain accurate case records, identify trends and escalate risks as needed.
• Support review and development of HR policies and guidance.
• Contribute to wider People & Culture initiatives and continuous improvement.
