Job summary

Hoop Recruitment Ltd is seeking a proactive People Co-ordinator to support the full employee lifecycle, provide first-line HR guidance and help enhance People services. Reporting to the Head of People Services, you will be a central contact for managers and staff, balancing day-to-day administration with employee relations and compliance tasks.

The role is based in Cardiff with hybrid working and occasional travel to operational sites. CIPD Level 5 or progress toward it would be desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR or People roles (HR Co-ordinator/HR Officer/People Advisor).
• Strong understanding of employee lifecycle administration and HR processes.
• Experience supporting low-level employee relations matters.
• Experience coordinating right to work and visa compliance alongside payroll.
• Confidence using HR systems and maintaining accurate data.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate onboarding, contracts, changes, probation and leaver processes.
• Respond to People queries and provide guidance on policies and procedures.
• Support managers with absence, performance concerns and minor conduct matters.
• Coordinate meetings, take notes and prepare documentation for HR processes.
• Support payroll administration and maintain confidential employee records.
• Coordinate right to work checks, visa documentation and compliance monitoring.
• Help review and update People policies, procedures and guidance.
• Contribute to HR systems improvements, automation, reporting and wider People projects.
