Job summary

YMCA Cheltenham seeks an experienced HR Advisor to join a small, supportive HR team in Cheltenham with hybrid working. The role focuses on employee relations, attendance, and performance management, partnering with managers to apply policies fairly and in line with UK employment law.

The part-time role (30 hours/week) offers a proactive, people-centred environment and opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement across HR processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 4 HR qualification or working towards CIPD.
• Member of the CIPD.
• Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
• Experience working as an HR Advisor.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Practical experience of providing generalist HR advice and supporting employee relations cases.
• Experience of disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and performance processes.
• Good working knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR good practice.
• Experience of using HR information systems and Microsoft 365.
