Job summary

XPS Group in Birmingham is seeking an Administration Manager (Pensions) to lead and enhance pensions administration for a portfolio of client schemes. You will manage a team, supervise client relationships with trustees and corporate clients, and contribute to strategic changes with governance and billing accuracy.

The role requires expert pensions knowledge, supervisory experience, and strong IT skills. A hybrid working model and a focus on service quality are offered.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of pensions administration activities and applying this knowledge to schemes.
• Supervisory/management experience including appraisals, recruitment and performance monitoring.
• Experience with Defined Benefit schemes (leavers, retirements, deaths, transfers, monthly processing, investments).
• Familiarity with pensions legislation framework and changes.
• Strong IT skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead pensions administration services for the assigned client portfolio.
• Oversee day-to-day management of client relationships with trustees and corporate clients.
• Participate in client meetings and contribute to account development activities.
• Provide expert pensions consultancy and keep up-to-date with industry developments.
• Manage project work such as renewals, statements, increases, and client reporting.
• Mentor and develop pensions administration team members and monitor SLAs.
• Ensure accurate time recording, billing and governance tracking across the team.
