Job summary

Brightwell is seeking a Technical Pensions Analyst to provide expert support across diverse projects, focusing on defined benefit schemes. You will handle data analysis, complex member casework, and system updates to ensure accurate benefit calculations and compliant outcomes.

You will work closely with the Member Services teams, assist with regulatory changes, and help coach junior analysts. The role offers hybrid working, a generous benefits package and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in pensions with defined benefit focus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to explain complex pension, legislative and data-related information clearly.
• Ability to apply pension scheme rules and regulatory requirements to support calculations.
• Ability to analyse data, validate calculations and identify solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support a wide range of projects with technical pensions focus.
• Carry out calculations, validate data and update systems to scheme rules.
• Assist with complex member casework and complaints handling.
• Develop and maintain calculation tools for testing and non-system calculations.
• Monitor and improve controls, identify risks and support governance.
• Collaborate with Legal team on regulatory developments and compliance.
• Coach and develop Technical Analysts to raise team capability.
