Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Paediatric Phlebotomist to join our band 3 paediatric phlebotomy team. You will perform venepuncture, cannulation and ECGs on paediatric patients at Royal Blackburn Hospital, with training provided as needed.

The role involves conducting venepuncture in an outpatient setting across Royal Blackburn and Burnley General Hospital, and working across both sites on a rota.

Qualifications

• Competency in venepuncture, cannulation and obtaining ECGs is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Perform venepuncture and cannulation on paediatric patients.
• Record ECGs and manage related clinical tasks.
• Work across Royal Blackburn Hospital and Burnley General Hospital on a rota.
• Support paediatric phlebotomy service 7 days a week within specified hours.
