Job summary

The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 3 Phlebotomist to join the Russell's Hall Hospital Outpatient Emergency Department and Paediatric Clinic. The role focuses on providing venepuncture services to children in the Children's Department and supporting ED with cannulation.

Working hours are 8am–10pm, seven days a week including weekends and Bank Holidays. Full clinical skills training will be provided; prior phlebotomy experience is required and cannulation training will be

Qualifications

• GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths (Essential).
• Commitment to develop and maintain skills and knowledge (Essential).
• Able to communicate the needs of the role to relevant team members/managers (Essential).
• Able to work quickly under indirect supervision (Essential).
• Trained and have experience within Venepuncture (Essential).
• Able to work well with patients and staff at all levels (Essential).
• The ability to recognise and respond accordingly to Safeguarding concerns (Essential).
• Experience of working with children within a hospital environment (Desirable).
