Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Paediatric Phlebotomist to join our band 3 paediatric phlebotomy team. You will perform venepuncture, cannulation and ECGs on paediatric patients at Royal Blackburn Hospital, with training provided as needed.

The role involves conducting venepuncture in an outpatient setting across Royal Blackburn and Burnley General Hospital, and working across both sites on a rota.

Qualifications

• Competency in venepuncture, cannulation and obtaining ECGs is ideal.

Paediatric Phlebotomist | East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust

We have an exciting opportunity to be part of our band 3 paediatric phlebotomy team. You will complete venepuncture and cannulation and ECG's on medical and surgical paediatric patients at Royal Blackburn Hospital.

Completing venepunture within an out-patient setting on both the Royal Blackburn and Burnley General Hospital settings

Ideally, you will have a competency and experience in venepuncture, and cannulation and obtaining ECG's, but full training will be provided to the successful candidate.

A bespoke preceptorship package will be offered depending on experience

The service runs 7 days a week 07:30-20:30 on Blackburn site and 07:30-18:00 on the Burnley site, and the team will be flexible to work together to cover these requirements.

The successful candidate will be required to work across both the Blackburn and Burnley sites on a rota basis with the rest of paediatric phlebotomy team
