Job Title: PE and Outdoor Education Teacher

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm, including 1x 5pm finish

Job Overview

Seeking a dedicated PE and Outdoor Education Teacher with a passion for physical education and experience with students with SEN. Responsible for tailored PE lessons, promoting activity, and supporting inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess lessons per curriculum and policies
• Monitor and report on student progress
• Contribute to school development initiatives
• Promote students' physical, educational, and moral development
• Develop individual education and behavior plans
• Organize classroom resources and student groupings
• Ensure student safety on and off-site
• Brief and coordinate with support staff

New Barn School provides a broad curriculum for students aged 6–19 with social, emotional, and mental health needs, utilizing outdoor learning including forest school, farm experiences, and horse riding. Located near Swindon, Oxford, Andover, Basingstoke, and Reading.
