Job summary

Sasse is recruiting a Full-time Mobile PCV Shunter to provide holiday and sickness cover across Metoline Bus Depots. You will move and park vehicles, perform visual checks, and follow safety procedures, with training provided.

A full UK PCV (D category) licence is required; no formal qualifications are necessary. The role offers 35–50 hours per week, shifts 14:00–22:00, on-site parking, pension and salary sacrifice schemes through the rewards platform.

• Willingness to train and develop with the team.

Responsibilities

• Process the vehicles on their return to the depot.
• Move and manoeuvre buses within the depot and on roads as directed.
• Check for damage, report issues, ensure windows are closed before wash.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and instructions.
• Use digital reporting tools and perform banksman duties when trained.
• Fulfil additional site duties as required by GSO.
• Provide timely, courteous service on customer sites.
• Hold a full UK PCV (D) licence.
• Receive full training and support; no formal qualifications needed.

We are currently recruiting for a Full-time Mobile PCV Shunter who will provide holiday and sickness cover across at Metoline Bus Depots, and we are looking to hear from candidates who are positive, have a can-do attitude and have ambition to grow.

The Role

As a Mobile PCV Shunter (GSO), you will play an essential role in ensuring our fleet operates smoothly and efficiently. Key responsibilities include:

• Process the vehicles on their return to the depot.
• Moving and manoeuvre vehicles/ buses within the depot and on public road, following instructions from the allocator and parking according to the parking plan.
• Conducting visual checks for any damage, reporting issues, and ensuring all windows are closed before buses enter the wash.
• Follow strict Health & Safety procedures and instructions.
• Using digital reporting tools and performing banksman duties (where trained).
• The role will also have additional site duties in line with General Service Operative (GSO)
• Delivering timely, efficient, and courteous service on customer sites.
• Full UK PCV (D category) driving licence.
• Full training and support will be provided by our team, no formal qualifications are needed
