Job summary

Sasse Limited is recruiting for a General Service Operative - Shunter/Fueller/Cleaner at the Dewsbury Bus Depot to ensure our fleet operates smoothly and with high cleanliness standards.

The role is permanent, full-time (32.5 hours per week across five days, 6:00 pm – 1:00 am) with a UK driving licence (B category) held for at least 2 years. We offer development opportunities and an attractive benefits package within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Full UK car (B category) driving licence, held for at least 2 years.
• Able to understand and follow depot procedures and safety rules.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Process the vehicles on their return to the depot.
• Move and manoeuvre vehicles/buses within the depot, following instructions and parking per the plan.
• Maintain overall cleanliness of buses and facilities, including waste removal.
• Perform fuelling tasks as required.
• Conduct visual checks for damage, report issues, and ensure windows are closed before buses enter the wash.
• Follow strict Health & Safety procedures and perform additional site duties as needed.

are currently recruiting for a Full-time GSO Shunter/Cleaner/Fueller at Dewsbury Bus Depot for Arriva, and we are looking to hear from candidates who are positive, have a can-do attitude and have ambition to grow.

The Role

As a GSO Shunter/Cleaner/Fueller, you will play an essential role in ensuring our fleet operates smoothly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

• Process the vehicles on their return to the depot.
• Moving and manoeuvre vehicles/ buses within the depot, following instructions from the allocator and parking according to the parking plan.
• Maintaining overall cleanliness, including bus and facility cleaning, waste removal.
• Performing fuelling tasks.
• Conducting visual checks for any damage, reporting issues, and ensuring all windows are closed before buses enter the wash.
• Follow strict Health & Safety procedures and instructions.
• The role will also have additional site duties in line with General Service Operative (GSO)
• Delivering timely, efficient, and courteous service on customer sites.
• Full UK car (B category) driving licence, held for a minimum of 2 years
