Job summary

Sasse is recruiting a Full-time Bus Shunter at Potters Bar Depot for Metroline. You will manage vehicles returning to the depot, move buses within the yard, maintain cleanliness, fuelling tasks, and ensure safety and coordination with other garages. A full UK driving licence is required and late shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Full UK car (B) driving licence held for at least 2 years.
• Willingness to work unsocial hours for late shifts.
• Full-time availability 35–55 hours/week.

Responsibilities

• Process the vehicles on their return to the depot.
• Move and manoeuvre vehicles/buses within the depot and park according to plan.
• Maintain overall cleanliness and waste removal, including fuelling tasks.
• Conduct visual checks for any damage and report issues.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and instructions.
• Manage yard operations and vehicle charging movements.
• Act as banks person for safe manoeuvring.
• Coordinate buses from other garages for smooth operation.
• Provide vehicles for changeovers and ensure chargers are operational.
• Deliver timely, efficient, and courteous service on customer sites.
