Job summary

Arriva Rhyl is hiring a PCV Bus Driver at Rhyl Depot to connect the community to schools, work and events. You will drive routes, engage passengers and maintain high safety and customer service standards on every trip.

We offer progression, overtime, discounts via Arriva Village, and family-friendly travel perks. Rotating shifts start early, with weekends and bank holidays working as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid PCV licence.
• Minimum 12 months driving experience.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
• Excellent customer service and people skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings and weekends.

Whether it’s getting children to school, commuters to work, or customers to their favourite shopping destinations, you’ll be playing an essential role in your community. As a Bus Driver, you’ll become familiar with the faces on your routes, build relationships, and brighten someone’s day. What We Offer

• Competitive Pay: Monday to Saturday: £13.45/hr (rising to £15.80 after 3 weeks)
• Sunday: £22.00/hr
• Bank Holidays: £22.50/hr
• Overtime: Flat rate

Hours of Work

• 5 out of 7 rotating shift patterns, planned up to 6-8 weeks in advance
• Mornings starting from 04:00, Afternoons starting from 12:00, Evenings from 18:00
• Overtime available based on request/availability
• We cannot offer fixed early, afternoon, or evening shifts separately

What We Need From You

• MUST have a valid PCV Licence – This is a non‑negotiable requirement (If you don’t have a PCV licence yet, apply for our Trainee role, and we’ll provide paid training to help you get qualified!)
• At least 12 months of driving experience
• No more than 6 points on your licence
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test
• Excellent customer service and people skills
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
