Job summary

Ambitious about Autism is seeking a dedicated PBS Specialist to support young people with complex needs. You will deliver person-centred, evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support interventions within designated settings and collaborate with education teams, families, and professionals.

You will manage a fluid caseload, provide direct and indirect interventions, and help young people understand and manage behaviours, improving quality of life and access to education.

Qualifications

• Experienced in Positive Behaviour Support and functional assessment approaches.
• Ability to develop and implement behaviour support plans.
• Capable of delivering training, coaching, and practical support to staff.

Responsibilities

• Undertake functional behavioural assessments and develop effective PBS interventions and support programmes
• Deliver, oversee, and review individualised multi-component PBS Plans
• Work collaboratively with class teams to embed effective PBS practice across the setting
• Train, coach, and motivate staff teams, parents, carers, and other professionals to confidently support children and young people with complex behavioural needs
