Job summary

Autism Plus in York is seeking a Positive Behaviour Support Partner to lead the day-to-day PBS delivery, develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans, and work with care teams to ensure person-centred support across the service.

The role involves coaching staff, regular assessment, and collaboration with health and social care professionals to support individuals with autism and complex needs toward greater independence.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering PBS in a care setting.
• Ability to coach and mentor staff in PBS practices.
• Strong observational and information gathering skills.

Responsibilities

• Construct PBS plans promptly.
• Review PBS plans and adapt to needs.
• Gather information via observation, notes, and interviews.
• Liaise with staff to support behavioural needs across the patch.
• Support managers in implementing PBS plans.
• Collaborate with health and social care professionals.
• Help teams create aids like social stories and sensory supports.
• Model best practice in documentation and incident recording.
