Job summary

Choice Care in Wales is seeking a Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) Practitioner to help embed PBS across our homes. You will work under supervision to support meaningful change for people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.

The role involves conducting assessments, developing PBS plans, coaching staff, and contributing to risk assessments and care planning. It requires experience with PBS and a 2:1 honours psychology degree, with strong communication in a multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• Honours degree in Psychology (2:1 or above).
• Experience with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs.
• Experience supporting people who display behaviours that challenge.
• Knowledge or experience of Positive Behavioural Support (PBS).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Commitment to person-centred, least restrictive practice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct behavioural assessments and analyse data to inform care.
• Develop and implement person-centred PBS plans.
• Support staff teams through coaching, modelling and hands-on practice.
• Contribute to risk assessments and crisis support.
• Monitor outcomes and produce high-quality reports.
• Deliver training and develop learning resources for staff.
• Attend multi-disciplinary meetings and contribute to care planning.
• Support service improvement through audits and evaluation.
